SANCTIONED PROGRAM/ COURSE NAME:- M.Ed. (Master of Education)

Teachers are the makers of the Nation. The development of the youth is directly proportional to the skill and management attitude of the teacher. DCMTE has started this course in the field of Teacher Education programs with a vision to preparing Teacher Educators and other Educational Professionals including Curriculum Developers, Educational Policy Analysts, Planners, Administrators, Supervisors, School Principals and Researchers.

STATE/ STATUTORY REGULATING BODY:-

Sri Dev Suman Uttrakhand University, Tehri (Garhwal), Uttarakhand (Affiliating body) along with State Govt. and the NRC, NCTE (Recognizing body) are the state/statutory regulating bodies.

SEATS (ANNUAL INTAKE):- 1 unit (50 students)

COURSE DETAILS:-

The College offers a Master of Education Course. The M.Ed. Program is a two year professional program in the field of Teacher Education. Students shall be permitted to complete the program requirements of the two year program within a maximum period of three years from the date of admission to the program.

COURSE DURATION:- Two Years

The M.Ed. Program shall be of a duration of two academic years, including field attachment for a minimum of 4 weeks and research dissertation. There shall be at least two hundred working days each year, exclusive of the period of admission and inclusive of classroom transaction, practical, field study and conduct of examination.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION :-

Candidates with at least 50% Marks or an equivalent grade in the following programs

• B.Ed.
• B.A.B.Ed.
• B.Sc.B.Ed.
• B.El.Ed.
• D.El.Ed. with an undergraduate degree (with 50% marks in each)

ADMISSION PROCEDURE AND RESERVATION:-

The admission process will be completed as per the guidelines provided by the State University & Rules and Regulations of NCTE and Reservation Criteria by the State Government.

MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTIONS:-

The medium of instruction will be English and Hindi for all courses. Medium of examination shall be English or Hindi.
